Qudra's Skills Training Activities in Jordan
Qudra programme and Luminus Foundation have conducted 3-month long skills trainings in two market-oriented and private sector-driven vocational programs.
Qudra programme and Luminus Foundation – a private non-profit Jordanian organisation with a mission to help Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian contribute better to their economic situation and personal growth – have conducted 3-month long skills trainings in two market-oriented and private sector-driven vocational programs.
The trainings ran through July and September 2017 with the active participation of 40 female and male, young students. The vocational trainings were provided in two different specialities: refrigerator and air condition maintenance, and culinary arts and food production.
In order to improve the employability and job prospects of participants, each successful trainee has received a nationally acknowledged certificate issued by the national accreditation agency CAQA (Centre for Accreditation and Quality Assurance) on the semi-skilled worker level at the end of their trainings.
