More than 1,200 youth have been actively engaged in semi-skilled training programmes through Work-Based Learning (WBL) in cooperation with our partners. Around 13% of trained youth started generating income directly after finalising their training. As part of the WBL approach, various (± 40) training programmes are currently provided, and approximately 95 more will start soon.
Concurrently, in consultation with the National Employment and Training Company, “Occupational Standards”, a new curriculum on Building Maintenance has been developed. Private sector representatives were involved in developing the curriculum to ensure that it responds to the specific skills needs of the market.
